Marist College invites applications for the position of Part-Time Faculty, Economics for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate-level economics courses: Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics. Topics in microeconomics include demand and supply analysis, market failures and government intervention, consumer decision making, supply decisions by firms, industry structure, and the role of ethics in consumer and producer economics decisions. Topics in macroeconomics include economic growth, business cycles, unemployment, inflation, macroeconomic models, fiscal policy, the Federal Reserve System, banking, monetary policy, and the role of ethics in macroeconomics. All courses will be taught using a combination of on-ground and online methods, with synchronous components. Strong technology skills are necessary. Instructors should have familiarity with learning management systems or a willingness to learn skills for effective online, hybrid, or blended instruction.

The School of Science at Marist College is pleased to invite applications for Part-Time Faculty in the Department of Biology, for the 2024-2025 academic year. In the fall semester the Department is searching for qualified individuals to teach General Biology I, a course covering the scientific method, the chemical and cellular basis of life, energy transformations, DNA structure and replication, protein synthesis, and cell division. In the spring semester instructors are sought for General Biology II, a course covering the scientific method, transmission genetics and inheritance, evolution, and ecological relationships. These classes require instructors to teach in-person, one lecture section (two 75-minute meetings per week) and one associated lab section (one 165-minute meeting per week). We also seek qualified individuals to teach in-person lecture-only biology courses for non-science majors such as Topics in Biology, Human Biology, and Life on Earth.
