Job Summary:

This position primarily oversees the service component of the Spiritual Life & Service department. This Campus Chaplain is responsible for directing our weekly Community Service Program, including networking with local agencies (schools, senior living facilities, etc.), recruiting, training, and overseeing student volunteers and van drivers throughout the semester.

This position also organizes the Hunger Month activities in November and the Spring Clothing Drive. In addition, they oversee student Chapel Assistants (Sacristans, Lectors, etc.), and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies or a related field
• Valid NYS drivers license
• 1-3 years of appropriate work experience

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate & direct weekly Community Service program
• Organize & direct Hunger Month activities (November)
• Organize Spring Clothing Drive and other collaborative community programs
• Create & direct spiritual studies groups
• Oversee Chapel assistants (volunteers, readers, ceremonial assistants)
• Outreach to under-represented students
• Attend department meetings, meet with supervisor, and outreach to campus stakeholders and student groups

  • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
  • College pays 100% tuition only.
  • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.
